Our mission
Together for Science!
Patients and Physician Researchers are working together to find answers and solutions for the congenital and/or genetic heart muscle disease Cardiomyopathy.
Scientific research should be more accessible. Bringing laboratory Research and the patient together adds value for both sides:
Patients who know more about their heart disease, can better discuss it with their doctors about treatment and health perspectives.
Researchers who learn about patients' lives, gain valuable information from them.
People with heart diseases or carriers of disease-causing genes, can participate in scientific research and experience what Cardiogenetics can bring them: better treatment and preventing them from getting ill on time!
When patients are involved
Researchers always lead the way in scientific research, but patients should too: research is also there for patients and they want to be involved in the process. Research should not take place in an ivory tower, but at the heart of the society.
Behind the heart muscle tissue under the microscope, the faces of people living with a genetic heart disease should be visible.
